Micro-Stimulation® is where the very latest innovation from Volker comes into its' own; it is a dynamic positioning system, through which various elements combine to promote increased mobility. The system is made up of sixty 'spring' wings that are mounted onto suspended glass fibre slats. This is standard on the Volker 3080. Optional extras includes battery back-up, a low footboard, protective padding, handset holder and a reading lamp.

Choosing the correct mattress is as vital as selecting the most appropriate care bed as they are both fundamental to comfort, pain relief and can reduce soreness from pressure related conditions. Specialist mattresses are designed to profile accurately, in line with the bed to provide maximum comfort, whilst achieving the optimum level of pressure relief. The Medi-Pro+ range of mattresses meet these requirements. They utilise high density and memory foams to bring greater comfort and pressure relief to the user. The range includes five Medi-Pro+ mattresses suitable for users assessed as needing low pressure relief, through to high. All are specifically designed for use with a profiling bed, and include a waterproof cover as standard (or a terry towelling cover as an option). Medi-Pro+ mattresses range from £319.00.
